Dimitri Gourier

My career began on building sites. Qualified in thermal installation and trained in operating construction machinery, I spent eighteen years in the building industry, working on villas and larger buildings alike. Plumbing, heating, air conditioning and non-destructive leak detection were part of my daily work.

That experience taught me to look beyond the finishes: to understand a building’s systems, identify constraints and ask the technical questions that help build a clearer picture of a property.

In 2009, I won a national gold medal in the thermal installation category of the French ‘Un des Meilleurs Apprentis de France’ competition. Presented at the Senate, this award marked an important stage in my training.

Above all, I took away an approach to work: prepare, check and pay attention to detail. I still follow those habits today when examining project information and identifying the points that need a closer look.

As a business owner, I learned to prepare quotations, work with figures and explain costs. I also learned that a proposal only makes sense if it meets the needs of the person in front of me.

While my business was doing well, I chose to move to Dubai with my wife and daughter. That move opened a new chapter for my family and my career, continuing my desire to build a business.
